Tons of Spring Pictures!!

Hello again! As you will see from all of our pictures we have been having a fun and busy spring! We spent Easter weekend with my parents and took Elis to his first Tigers game. It went into extra innings and we were at the park for more than four hours and both kids did great! June was so into the game we couldn't believe it AND her favorite player Alex Avila hit a walk off homer in the bottom of the 11th so we were all pretty excited about that!!! Unfortunately, I don't have pictures of the game because our camera battery died the day before. :( You WILL see pictures from the Easter Egg hunt at Keith's work where we had pictures taken with the Easter Bunny... the ones with our camera are not great because we were all looking at the other camera- but you'll get the idea. The last few pictures are of June following the clues that the Easter Bunny left at Grammy and Papa's house and then showing off the gifts that he left in her basket!

WELL the date on my previous post confirms that it has been a month and a half since I have had two minutes to sit down and do something productive. Life is busy... BUT wonderful. Elis continues to be a sweet and easy baby! He is growing about twice as fast as his sister ever did, weighing in at a whopping 15lbs at less than 4 months old! He is a great eater and a great sleeper and has started smiling at us, which we all enjoy very much. June is an amazing big sister and really does help me care for him on a daily basis. She started a class last week through the park district called "Three That's Me" it is only 45 minutes once a week, but she goes on her own and is very proud! Hope that you like the pictures and I will try to post more before too long!!

SOOO Handsome!

Christmas Time 2011

We had a wonderful Christmas this year! We didn't let having a newborn slow us down at all as far as traveling went. We spent a couple of days including Christmas Eve in Fennville and then headed to Royal Oak for a couple more including Christmas Day. It was great to spend time with everyone as always and the family enjoyed the chance to get to know our newest addition a little better. June's one wish for Christmas was "big socks" (she saw a little girl on a commercial wearing knee high striped socks and had to have them!) and lucky for her Santa was able to find just the right pair. She enjoyed Christmas very much this year, but believe it or not told us she was tired of opening presents less than half way through. Not sure if it had to do with the fact that leading up to Christmas she had been opening gifts on a daily basis between "big sister" gifts and her birthday. We ended up taking lots of breaks but it was like pulling teeth to get her to open the last few. I think she may have just been a little overwhelmed... and I can understand how she felt because I am pretty worn out myself trying to find places for everything and get things back to organized! It is just too much. ANYWAY, here are a few pictures- not many of Elis though. Most of the ones I got of him are on my phone which I have no way of putting on our computer- oops. More coming soon!

Not happy about his Christmas outfit!

Elis has Arrived!

Well the long wait has ended. June is officially a big sister! Elis Grey Coffindaffer was born on November 14th 2011 at 8:08 am. He weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 19.5 in long. He was delivered by c-section at 36 weeks- quite early because of placenta previa and low amniotic fluid levels. Although he was very good size for a 36 week baby, he had some trouble breathing at first and had to be admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, where he spent his first four days. Elis responded well to all of his treatments and Mom and Dad gladly took him home on November 17th with a clean bill of health!
June absolutely loves having her little brother around (as you will be able to see from the pictures), she is a great helper and we couldn't be more proud of her.

This is June's first time seeing Elis through the NICU window.

Going home!

SO EXCITED to hold Baby Elis!

Proud big sister.

My favorite!

Oops forgot the rest of her outift!
