Another Good Trip to the Doctors

We went to the doctor this afternoon for a checkup. Once again, he said that everything looks great. June's weight is up to 12 lbs and she is 23 inches long! He was impressed by how strong her neck is and she showed off by smiling and cooing at him as she was being examined. His reaction to that... he said that June is a "perfect baby" ... he, obviously, was not at our house last night at 4am. HA HA No complaints though, she is actually sleeping quite well most nights- sometimes for six or more hours at a time. One night last week we put her down at 9:30pm and she slept until 5:30am, boy were we surprised. This weekend we are headed to Fennville for Tyler and Ethan's birthday party. I will post pictures next week! Happy birthday to Cousin Tyler, Uncle Alex and Cousin Ethan... in that order.

We Love This Weather!!!!

After an extremely long winter, the three of us couldn't be happier about the nice weather this week. We have been getting out as much as possible, taking long walks and soaking up the sun!





Captain's initial indifference to June is finally starting to turn into a little bit of interest. Slowly but surely- one sniff at a time!

A Weekend in Michigan

June went on her first road trip last weekend, we had to make sure she was up for all the traveling that comes with being a part of the family- she did great! She only woke up once going to Michigan and once coming back and that was only when we stopped for gas. The weekend was busy, but fun. June had a chance to meet friends, neighbors, and even her cousins Tyler and Ethan. The pictures from the trip are fair at best- so I apologize for that.

It was great to meet Karly and her family, but it is tiring being so popular! (Notice the yawn in the picture above, also notice the picture below which was taken right after their visit) Thanks for visiting Karly, Nik, Kady and Erica.

I have been holding out for the perfect smile picture- June has been smiling quite a bit for a couple of weeks now- but I am rarely quick enough with the camera. We thought this one was pretty cute though. More smiles to come...

Look What I Can Do!

A Day Out For June!

This weekend we decided to finally venture out! We met up with the other couples from our child birth class... and their babies. The adults enjoyed deep dish pizza while the babies enjoyed snoozing and their pacifiers. Of the four babies, June is the only girl. One of the boys, Liam was born on December 18th too!

Here is a shot of the Mom's and the babies. June was ready to eat- that is why she looks so grumpy. Jonathan would have been ready to eat if he had woken up, that is why he is in his carrier. ;)
