CONGRATULATIONS UNCLE ALEX!!!

This weekend we went to West Virginia to see my Uncle Alex graduate from college. I was very proud of him! It was an eight hour drive and I got pretty tired of being in the car by the end... but it was fun to see Uncle Alex's house and meet his friends and teammates, so I am glad we went. Here are some pictures of us on our trip:

In this one I am asleep in my stroller (in the lower right corner) the ceremony got a little long for me.

I woke up just in time for a shot with the graduate!

Here we are again- me and Uncle Alex.

On the way home we stopped in Ohio to go for a hike.

Here I am with Mom and Dad.

A Wonderful First Mother's Day!

It is really interesting being on the other end of the whole Mother's Day "thing" after 29 years (yes, I am that old). We always tried to make the day special for my Mom, breakfast in bed, homemade gifts, flowers... and it usually seemed like we probably had been successful. Now, after experiencing my very first Mother's Day I know how special it is. A whole day to be honored for being a Mom- the best job in the world! Of course Keith and June spoiled me rotten- which didn't hurt too much either. Keith found a set to make a mold of June's hands and a neat shadow box frame to put them in. Very neat! Even little June Bug found me a gift: a very pretty little necklace with her birth stone. I love it!!! I also received lots of nice cards and wishes from friends and family, I guess your first Mother's Day is kind of a big deal. Thank you to everyone who made me so very appreciated. And a very special thanks to my amazing husband and adorable baby as well as the extremely smart friend (named Emily) who helped more than a little with gift ideas.

Did that last part sound like I was accepting a major award of some kind?

In other news... June, at four and a half months of age (or so), has learned how to fake cry and fake cough. It is really something. I have been trying to get it on video. If you are not looking it sounds quite real then if you look at her there she is just grinning at you. She thinks it is the greatest thing ever. We would not be surprised if she was an athlete or an artist, but an actress?? Not sure where that would have come from. We are trying not to pay too much attention when she does it for fear it might snowball as she gets older, but secretly we have to laugh.

Okay enough rambling on, lets get to the pictures! Some from Mother's Day and a few from the last couple of weeks. Hope you like them.

Fun in Florida!

We just got back from two weeks of fun in Florida. The time was split between Fort Myers with June's Great Grandparents and Orlando with Grandma and Grandpa Yost. Keith was able to join us for the last part of the trip after his time in Colorado, and we were glad to have him back! Family members came from far and wide to meet our little one and she seemed to enjoy all the attention. Of course, I took a ton of pictures... here are some of the highlights:

With June's Great Grandparents on their
62nd Wedding Anniversary at Snug Harbor
Restaurant in Fort Myers Beach.

Poolside in Orlando, where June took her
afternoon nap on most days.

Asleep, after a very exhausting walk.

Hanging with Uncle Eric!

Visiting with "Great" Aunt Jenn and Uncle Dave.

Swimming with Dad at the condo.

The three of us at the Gulf of Mexico.

June's first time at the beach!

June and her Great Grandpa with their
matching hair styles.

Meeting Great Grandma Coffindaffer.

Leaving Florida in style!

Finally, here is a video of June and her somewhat
odd reaction to her very favorite thing in Florida.
Wait until you see what it is!

June is Three Months Old!

June is three months old today and seems to be quite happy about it! Recently, we have been seeing tons of smiles, hearing lots of cooing and even a few little giggles. Keith managed to take a video today, showing what she has been up to...

In other news... last weekend we visited family in Fennville. We had a great time catching up with everyone and celebrating Tyler's 3rd and Ethan's 1st birthday. Click on My Cousins: Tyler and Ethan (on the right) to see lots of great pictures from the party! June's cousins were nice enough to let her borrow their "Bumbo Chair" to try out and she loves it. Here is a picture:

Now we are busy getting ready for another trip. Next Wednesday June and I leave for two weeks in Florida! Keith will be in Colorado skiing with Jack and then will catch up with us down south for the last part of the trip. We are all looking forward to the vacation and all of the important introductions that it will bring. See, look how excited June is about it:
