The First Few Steps!

We can't believe it! June has been really working on standing up on her own and cruising around holding onto furniture but we didn't realize how close she was to walking. Then suddenly she tried taking a few steps and then a few more. It will take some more practice before she is very stable but she is definitely on her way!!!

Here is the footage! Go June Go!

June in a Box!

Got a couple of cute pictures last weekend while my family was in town that I thought I would share. We had an impromptu Thanksgiving dinner since Alex will be out in Colorado for the winter and won't be able to make it back for the real thing. June liked joining in the fun but wasn't crazy about the food. Strangely, she found the mashed potatoes to be the worst. Also have a video of June getting ready to walk, which we think looks pretty funny due to her size! That's all for now.

The Latest and Greatest

Not too much has happened since the last post. June is still happily dancing the days away! In fact, we are starting to wonder if all of her dancing is getting in the way of her progress in other areas?? (After all her Dad has that problem all of the time) No seriously, she has been working on climbing the stairs, with close supervision of course, but after each step she takes a dance break and sometimes forgets what she was doing in the first place. The same thing happens when she is standing holding onto furniture or walking behind her walker. Hilarious!

June and I are very proud of her Dad this week as he has earned a big promotion at work! We know how hard he has been working and think that he couldn't deserve it more. Thanks for everything you do for us. We love you, you are the very best.

As some of you know, June, Keith, Emily and I have been training for a 5K race that took place a couple of weeks ago here in Plainfield. The race was a success! Emily and I improved on our times from last time and Keith was a great motivator for me until the last half mile when I (allegedly) asked him to "stop talking." We also had the best cheering section around- thanks Leslie and June! Here are some post race photos:

Here are a couple pictures of June hanging out in her playroom...

June's New Tricks....

Hi Everyone! We are finally back online, which means more blog updates, yea! What's new? Let's see... June had her nine months doctor's appointment this week and everything checked out well. She is up to almost 16 1/2 pounds which seems big to us, but turns out to only be in the 7th percentile for her age. Looks like she is just going to be a little peanut! We have had another busy couple of weeks with two fun trips to Michigan, KEITH'S 30TH BIRTHDAY and the annual "Krawl", and June had a very special visitor for the last week- her Uncle Alex. As is turned out even with all of the action June had an agenda of her own, she was busy mastering a whole slew of new tricks. We thought that the best way to let you all see what she has been up to would be to take some video and put together a montage to show you. Hope you like it!!!

Lots and Lots of Pictures!

FINALLY ANOTHER POST!! Although things are coming along well at the new house, we still do not have the internet which as you can guess makes keeping the blog up-to-date pretty difficult. So, I am going to try to totally redeem myself (what movie Mom?) by posting a ton of pictures! I will narrate as I go, in hopes of painting as complete a picture as possible of what we have been up to for the last month.

First day at the new house! Pulled the old carpet within a couple hours of the closing.

June's hangout for a few days.

Spent lots of time here too.

June and her friend Riley snoozing after a busy day at the pool (should have taken pictures there, oops)

June looking cute in her diaper.

Eating update... doing great with lots of fruits and vegetables now! Some favorites: apples, nectarines and sweet potatoes. Oh yeah and cheerios- are those a fruit or a vegetable?

In a robe from and with her teddy bear from Uncle Joe Green.

Just teddy this time.

Enjoying the new carpet!!

June actually waited for the carpet to be installed and started crawling, that day.

Hanging with her cousins!

Cuddling with Sarah, not sure who looks cuter in yellow!

Learning the facts of life from Dan- UH OH!!!

Out on the town with Mom and Dad.

Check me out!

Celebrating Grandma Yost's Birthday in Plainfield.

This is the park we see out of our front windows.

Proudly wearing her Liverpool jersey (kit), from Joe and Colly.

Finally, hanging out under the crib with Captain?!?! We can't quite figure it out Cap does not want anything to do with her UNLESS they are under the crib then they will just hang out. Pretty weird!

So that, in a nutshell, is what we did in the month of August. Hopefully we will be up and running soon so that I can stay on top of things better. Thanks to all of our wonderful visitors- we never could have gotten so much accomplished without you!
