June's New Tricks....

Hi Everyone! We are finally back online, which means more blog updates, yea! What's new? Let's see... June had her nine months doctor's appointment this week and everything checked out well. She is up to almost 16 1/2 pounds which seems big to us, but turns out to only be in the 7th percentile for her age. Looks like she is just going to be a little peanut! We have had another busy couple of weeks with two fun trips to Michigan, KEITH'S 30TH BIRTHDAY and the annual "Krawl", and June had a very special visitor for the last week- her Uncle Alex. As is turned out even with all of the action June had an agenda of her own, she was busy mastering a whole slew of new tricks. We thought that the best way to let you all see what she has been up to would be to take some video and put together a montage to show you. Hope you like it!!!

Lots and Lots of Pictures!

FINALLY ANOTHER POST!! Although things are coming along well at the new house, we still do not have the internet which as you can guess makes keeping the blog up-to-date pretty difficult. So, I am going to try to totally redeem myself (what movie Mom?) by posting a ton of pictures! I will narrate as I go, in hopes of painting as complete a picture as possible of what we have been up to for the last month.

First day at the new house! Pulled the old carpet within a couple hours of the closing.

June's hangout for a few days.

Spent lots of time here too.

June and her friend Riley snoozing after a busy day at the pool (should have taken pictures there, oops)

June looking cute in her diaper.

Eating update... doing great with lots of fruits and vegetables now! Some favorites: apples, nectarines and sweet potatoes. Oh yeah and cheerios- are those a fruit or a vegetable?

In a robe from and with her teddy bear from Uncle Joe Green.

Just teddy this time.

Enjoying the new carpet!!

June actually waited for the carpet to be installed and started crawling, that day.

Hanging with her cousins!

Cuddling with Sarah, not sure who looks cuter in yellow!

Learning the facts of life from Dan- UH OH!!!

Out on the town with Mom and Dad.

Check me out!

Celebrating Grandma Yost's Birthday in Plainfield.

This is the park we see out of our front windows.

Proudly wearing her Liverpool jersey (kit), from Joe and Colly.

Finally, hanging out under the crib with Captain?!?! We can't quite figure it out Cap does not want anything to do with her UNLESS they are under the crib then they will just hang out. Pretty weird!

So that, in a nutshell, is what we did in the month of August. Hopefully we will be up and running soon so that I can stay on top of things better. Thanks to all of our wonderful visitors- we never could have gotten so much accomplished without you!

Sunrise Lake

Hello Everyone! Sorry it has been so long since the last post. This summer has turned out to be quite busy for us. As most of you know, we are in the final stages of buying a house, which of course has been pretty time consuming. We close on the house this Friday and hope to be completely moved in by the first week in August after getting a few things taken care of. Although there is a lot to do, we have been making a conscious effort not to let the summer pass us by without having some fun! With that in mind we packed up the car on Friday and headed for The Bell's cottage on Sunrise Lake. We had a nice weekend hanging out with friends, spending some time on the lake kayaking and playing on the beach. June got a lot of attention, which she seemed to love from Nik, Kady and Erica. Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Coming Soon: Video of June Crawling- she is getting really close!!

Playing with Patrick

June loves hanging out with her friend Patrick! Since I starting babysitting a couple months ago the two little ones have been becoming more and more interested in each other. There are always lots of fun toys and baby equipment around for them to play with but lately I have found they are a lot happier just hanging out on the floor with each other. Patrick tries to get to June any way possible and she mostly just smiles and drools, but they think it is great. On Monday this week, we actually managed to get out for part of the day with help from Emily. We went to the Cosley Zoo, which is a little zoo in our area that is really more like a farm. It was nice to get out and even though there weren't a ton of animals, it was just the right size for us. Among the farm animals was a horse that we found out was named June, we got a picture with her.

Six Months Old!

June has had an exciting week! Yesterday, she had her "half birthday". In celebration we thought we would let have her first try at eating real food. We started with bananas, which she seemed to find interesting but not necessarily tasty. Then we tried some carrots which she liked even less. I think her favorite part of the whole experience was getting out her cool high chair... Thanks Leslie!! On Wednesday we went to the city and spent the afternoon at the Lincoln Park Zoo. June saw the monkeys the seals and the bears. Again, she was mildly amused. On Tuesday we went to the doctor for the six month check up- I told you it was a busy week! At the doctor we found out that June is up to 14 lbs and 24 inches, and is still very healthy. Even though she is really small for her age (the 9th percentile, to be exact) the doctor is happy with her progress, she is just a little peanut!

Here are some pictures from the week...
