I am sure most of our faithful followers have noticed that my posts have been becoming less and less frequent. And although I didn't expect to be able to consistently get to it several times a week I was really hoping to do better than twice a month, as I have lately. I have a good excuse though... we do not currently have the internet which makes it kind of tough (as you might guess) to keep up with it at all. The good news though is that we should be up and running again in the next few weeks and then I will be sure to get back to the blog more often.
June and I are in Royal Oak for the weekend (Keith is in Las Vegas for a monster truck rally) and since I have access to the internet I might as well get everyone caught up on all the latest June Bug news! I guess the most exciting thing is that she is starting to talk more and more. It is not a real constant thing yet but it seems that we have been hearing a new word at least every few days. Some of the words that she has said are: baby, cracker, moon, purple, dad, mom, blue, hi, bye. Really fun!
What else? June is really enjoying trying out her walking skills outside now that the weather is starting to get nice. To her it is like a whole new experience. She loves to walk around the park across from our house. I let her do the whole loop on her own the other day, which usually takes less than five minutes when she is in her stroller and it took us a half an hour! She was very busy exploring all of the different things on the ground and the bushes and trees she came across. She seemed very proud of herself (and a little tired) by the time we made it back to the house.
Keith is due back on Monday and we are all very much looking forward to some down time for the three of us to hang out in April. We have been on the go non-stop for about a month now and feel like we haven't had much of a chance to enjoy each other and our house in the nice spring weather!
I wish that I could follow up with some cute June pictures but I left the cord at home- not surprised- so they are stuck on the camera for now! Will add them on when I can.

More Colorado Pictures
Here is another batch of Colorado pictures. There were a couple of days that I left my camera behind and used my Mom's so below you will find what was missing from the last post:

Eric and Kim had us over to their house for a wonderful homemade lunch. The food was amazing! June was very interested in the parakeets and the exercise mat as you will see from the pictures. She also liked hanging out with her Uncle Eric and meeting Kim.

Busy, busy, busy!
Lately it seems as though we could take all of June's toys back to the store and she would be just as happy playing with (read: getting into) things around the house. When she is playing with toys she usually stays busy for a couple minutes at a time but when she is say taking all of the tupperware out of the cabinet she is happy for quite some time. I have kept the camera handy recently and caught her in the act several times. Take a look at our busy little girl!

January Pictures & Update
I have been somewhat slow to update the blog lately mostly because I haven't had anything specific to report. Also, June and I have been keeping rather busy since the new year so finding the time to do it hasn't been as easy either. In addition to babysitting I am teaching Salsa Tots classes twice a week, plus we have our library class on Wednesdays and a weekly play date with a few friends on Thursdays. It is a pretty full schedule which is nice because it really seems to be helping to pass the time in these cold months! June comes with me to the dance classes and even though she is the youngest kid there and the smallest (by a mile) she does great. She dances quite a bit and then when she can't keep up she just kind of watches everyone else and smiles and laughs. All the kids love her and call her "the baby."
We are (as always) having a lot of fun watching June grow. Lately it has been a lot more mental than physical things that we have been noticing. She is really working on communicating which is so exciting. She makes a lot of sounds that really seem to apply to specific things. She says "ma ma" and "da da" quite a bit although not always referring to us. She will also nod her head and say "yeah" if you ask if she wants something... usually food or milk or sometimes a nap. June is also getting the concept of where things go and will put her books or toys away in their specific places when asked to or throw her diaper away in the garbage. Yesterday I was drying my hair and she brought me my hairbrush from the other room. It is so fun for us to see how much is going on in her little head!
I guess other than that we are just trying to stay warm and HEALTHY- oh yeah June had another ear infection last week this time in both ears :( but she is feeling much better now. She also has two teeth on the top and two on the bottom trying to come through but has really been a trooper with that for the most part.
As for the pictures I think they are pretty self explanatory. Some bath pictures, a few just hanging around the house, a couple playing with Captain (which has come a long way recently)! There is also one picture of June being silly in our closet. Keith and his Dad put in brand new shelving in our closet last weekend which I absolutely love but guess who loves it more? We are trying to get a video of her playing in there it is really funny, she hides in all the shirts and usually gets off balance and falls down and then laughs hysterically.
