Father's Day Photos

For Keith's Father's Day gift June and I went and had some pictures taken. When I made the appointment the people at the studio suggested trying to do a theme based on the interests of the Dad... which is the reason for the Tigers hats in the fourth picture. I didn't end up having those ones printed (just wasn't doing much for me) but was pretty happy overall with how the pictures turned out. I had the first picture framed and it is on our bedroom wall- so pretty!

Happy Father's Day and thanks for all that you do for us. You are the best! Love, June and Corinne

Fun in the Sun!

I thought for the first June post I would share some of our first few summer pictures. We have been having a lot of fun playing outside around our house and at friends houses too. Keith got June a "Monkey Pool" which she absolutely loves.

We spent Memorial Day hanging out with some friends on their lake. June had the chance to ride on a boat which she enjoyed and also had a chance to see her Dad wakeboard which she did not enjoy. It was really odd but she was extremely concerned about him the whole time he was being pulled behind the boat. When he fell off and was bobbing in the water she was fine and when anyone else was wakeboarding she was ok with that too. We couldn't quite figure it out.

In other news we are excited for our friends Myranda and Ramon who welcomed their second daughter on June 1st and we are patiently waiting for the arrival of several more June babies. (Six I think) Including our first little neice who should be here any time now! Good luck to all of the expectant families we are thinking about you!

More pictures from the walk

Just received a few more shots from the day of the walk including a team picture, thought I would share them:

June's first puddle experience... and more!

Last weekend we made a trip to Michigan to participate in the Breast Cancer 5K in Detroit. It was a really fun (and huge) event to be a part of, whether running, walking or riding in a stroller taking in all of the sights. Keith was able to take Friday off of work which gave June a little bit of extra time to spend with Grandma and Grandpa Yost. Here are some photos!

Here are pictures from the walk, it was a little rainy but luckily we had our pink umbrella!

A Fun Summer-Like Playdate

Summer can't come soon enough for June and her friends from her playgroup. Actually the same goes for the Moms! We have been getting the girls together about once a week since last October so needless to say there have been a lot of indoor play dates. This week we went to Maddy's House and it was nice enough to try out her new pool. The girls had a blast! Here are some pictures:

A Post From Mom & Dad

C: It has been a long time since I have had the chance to post a substantial update about the little one... so tonight I have enlisted some help.
K: I am not really sure what I am supposed to be doing here.
C: Oh boy, this is going well so far! Anyway, we just want to get everyone caught up on all the new things that June is doing (and saying) and just how she generally spends her days.
K: June is a riot lately - cracking us up all the time. (See the previous post for a prime example) The new things she is learning are really cool. Just today she repeated after Corinne saying superkalafragelisticexpialadocious.
C: No she didn't
K: Alright - maybe not. But she has been saying a lot of words like more, help, bus, bye, and butterfly (sorry stretching the truth again).
C: Yeah, these past few days if we coach her she will repeat just about any simple word. She is really good at mimicking sounds, I guess. There are only a few words that she is using functionally and consistently, but she is definitely on the right track to start talking more soon.
K: How about all of the things June has gotten to do with us lately? People might want to hear about that.
C: They might!?! If not feel free to skip ahead to the pictures. It is true, we have been finding ways to get back into the swing of things outdoors this spring which has awesome for all of us. K: Yeah, a couple of weeks ago we went on a three hour kayak trip exploring a whole new section of the Dupage River, beginning at our house and heading south . She also came along recently to play disc golf with us and would say "Uh Oh" every time we would throw a disc as if we had dropped it by accident. So funny!
C: Today June and Captain and I went to the dog park. I am still not sure who of the three of us had the most fun. June absolutely loves dogs and was extremely happy watching them while sitting (safely) on my chest in her Baby Bjorn, Cap of course loved every minute of it and I was just thrilled to be outside on a beautiful day!
K: I was at work, thanks for rubbing it in.
C: It was really windy if that makes you feel better.
K: It doesn't.
C: We will try to wrap things up now because chances are you all have better things to do than sit and read this... unlike us :)
K: As usual I'll have the last word. (Kidding) Finally - check out some pictures of June Bug's new ride. Thanks Leslie, she loves it!

C: After looking back over the post we realized that we forgot to say how proud we are of our peanut and how lucky we feel to have such a happy and healthy little girl.
K: And how cute she is! (still got the last word)
