Salsa Babies!

We love Salsa Dancing! June and I just finished a six week session of Salsa Babies class. It was a really neat class where I got to learn how to salsa dance, get some exercise and meet other Moms without ever leaving the little one. What could be better? In the beginning June would fall asleep during class, but by the end of the session she was laughing and smiling the whole time! I got a few pictures of us and our Salsa Babies friends to share.

Our instructor Alex, is the one in the blue pants (without the baby) she is awesome! We had so much fun.

CONGRATULATIONS UNCLE ALEX!!!

This weekend we went to West Virginia to see my Uncle Alex graduate from college. I was very proud of him! It was an eight hour drive and I got pretty tired of being in the car by the end... but it was fun to see Uncle Alex's house and meet his friends and teammates, so I am glad we went. Here are some pictures of us on our trip:

In this one I am asleep in my stroller (in the lower right corner) the ceremony got a little long for me.

I woke up just in time for a shot with the graduate!

Here we are again- me and Uncle Alex.

On the way home we stopped in Ohio to go for a hike.

Here I am with Mom and Dad.

A Wonderful First Mother's Day!

It is really interesting being on the other end of the whole Mother's Day "thing" after 29 years (yes, I am that old). We always tried to make the day special for my Mom, breakfast in bed, homemade gifts, flowers... and it usually seemed like we probably had been successful. Now, after experiencing my very first Mother's Day I know how special it is. A whole day to be honored for being a Mom- the best job in the world! Of course Keith and June spoiled me rotten- which didn't hurt too much either. Keith found a set to make a mold of June's hands and a neat shadow box frame to put them in. Very neat! Even little June Bug found me a gift: a very pretty little necklace with her birth stone. I love it!!! I also received lots of nice cards and wishes from friends and family, I guess your first Mother's Day is kind of a big deal. Thank you to everyone who made me so very appreciated. And a very special thanks to my amazing husband and adorable baby as well as the extremely smart friend (named Emily) who helped more than a little with gift ideas.

Did that last part sound like I was accepting a major award of some kind?

In other news... June, at four and a half months of age (or so), has learned how to fake cry and fake cough. It is really something. I have been trying to get it on video. If you are not looking it sounds quite real then if you look at her there she is just grinning at you. She thinks it is the greatest thing ever. We would not be surprised if she was an athlete or an artist, but an actress?? Not sure where that would have come from. We are trying not to pay too much attention when she does it for fear it might snowball as she gets older, but secretly we have to laugh.

Okay enough rambling on, lets get to the pictures! Some from Mother's Day and a few from the last couple of weeks. Hope you like them.
